Back to the basics: What does HVAC Stand For?

Have you ever wondered what HVAC stands for?
Well, you’re not alone. It is a regularly used term and most people have a general grasp on what it means, but often are not sure what it stands for and do not understand the need for them. HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and it provides both heating and cooling to homes and buildings alike and is increasingly a popular choice.
HVAC systems control the temperature of a room and improve the quality of the air by using fresh air from outside of the building and removing the dust, heat, and odour due to the ventilation. The heating part of this system typically refers to the furnace, which is responsible for controlling the heat within the building. The air conditioning element of the system aims to remove heat from the building.
HVAC systems can last between 15-20 years if they are properly maintained, therefore it is worth the money to install one instead of having the units separate. Additionally, there are quick tasks you can regularly complete to guarantee that the system will last longer, such as cleaning and changing the filters, annually call for a maintenance check, and clean the condensing unit. Installing an HVAC system is hugely convenient, but can seriously improve the quality of the air you breath in and provide comfort to everyone within the home or office.
